Residential Services
Almadan’s 24-hour DDS Residential Programs support individuals with Developmental Disabilities and ID. Our programs focus on community integration, self-advocacy, maximizing independence and successful goal achievement. For nearly three decades, Almadan has supported individuals to become active members of the community, to obtain gainful employment and to live full lives with meaningful relationships. At Almadan, our staff ensures that all supports are provided in a manner that promotes dignity and respect.
Almadan, Inc. provides residential support services to individuals also receiving services by the Department of Developmental Services as well as the Department of Mental Health. Residential services focus on skill acquisition, promoting independence, and focusing on vocational opportunities.
Almadan also offers an Intensive Supports option for individuals struggling with sexually problematic behaviors or other acute behaviors. Almadan consults with specialized clinicians who work one on one with the individual receiving services while specially trained staff utilize daily teaching moments to support the individuals in building social and vocational skills.
Almadan DMH residential programs provide comprehensive treatment for individuals with problematic sexual behaviors (PSB) which has been in place since 1992. It is currently a four-bed home, set in a rural setting. We provide individuals with support both at the program and elsewhere in the community, and strive to help them maximize their potential while keeping them, and others, safe.
Homes funded through the Department of Mental Health focus on a recovery based, community integration model. Almadan works with the individuals being served to become or continue to be active members of their community while working on strategies to manage their mental health symptoms. Our programs are tailored to cater to the individual needs of the people we serve. This includes but is not limited to individuals living with dual diagnosis and physical limitations.
